Andrea Nash
Andrea is Kate's best friend, they met in the Order. Kate was a knight of the Order, while Andrea was an expert marksman. She is beastkin, meaning she is the extremely rare offspring of a female bouda and a hyenawere, a hyena who could shapeshift into a human. In many shapeshifter packs, beastkin are at best tolarated but mistreated, at worst seen as abominations and killed at birth. Andrea and her mother suffered unspeakable abuse and cruelty at the hands of their birth pack. As a teen, Andrea escaped and, disguised herself as a human, joined and graduated with honors from the Order's Academy for knights. She is very determined to be accepted by the people, she doesn't want to go through what she went through ever again or see anyone in the same place that she was in. She will do anything that she can to help the people in her Pack, protecting the only family she has. She is very protective, dangerous, intelligent, and a little crazy, but who isn't. Her personality helps her with her position in the pack, the alpha female of Clan Bouda. She needs to be damanding, and scary yet caring, and protective of her clan, which she is. Like the others in the Atlanta, she will help protect her family, friends, and loved ones.

He is a werejaguar and the alpha of Clan Cat. He is the Pack's head of security, which is good yet bad because he's also a paranoid micromanager who sees threats to the Pack around every corner and in every shadow. Jim moves with an easy athletic gait that belies the pent-up energy and violence waiting just under the surface. He has helped Kate with former Mercenary Guild work. They have a very long and complicated relationship, if one needs help the other will come to the rescue no matter the consequences. His family already accepts Kate as one of their own, they will help her as well as she will help them. Jim is determined to help Curran protect everyone in the Pack. To them, the Pack is like a huge family, and when one of their family gets hurt they all go and save them. Like them, I will do anything for my family.

Curran is the Beast Lord of Atlanta, alpha and leader of Atlanta's shapeshifters. He is thirty-three years old, but has the wisdom of a wise old man. He has been the Beast Lord since he was fifteen.He is a very controlling individual. He's also very protective, caring, desicive, and definitely leader material. He will do anything he can to save his pack, which he includes Kate, even though she will never be a shapechanger. He is an extremely unique, special, and important shapechanger. He can shift into a North American grey lion, bigger than average size. In human form, he prefers hand-to-hand combat with a concentration on grappling, which utilizes his training in judo, wrestling, and jujitsu. He trains to protect his family, he lost his family as a child and will do anything, and I mean anything to protect his pack, his family. I would do the same, he is a very dedicated man to want to protect his family, his pride, and his reputation.

Kate Daniels is a former mercenary, as well as former member of the order, current consort to Curran, Beast Lord of the Free People, and female alpha shapeshifter. She is approximately twenty-seven. She carries a sword that is named Slayer, it feeds on the blood of the undead and is her grandmothers bone. She isn't afraid of fighting to protect Atlanta, unless it's to protect it from her father. He is a very old and powerful magical being. Her sarcastic behavior makes her a very funny character, as well as puts her in a lot of danger. She always finds herself in the middle of a "war", but can't do anything about it. Rolanvd is her father, she has been hiding all of her life from him, and she was raised by his renegade warlord Voron. Until later in the series he shows up, thats when her stubborn and independent personality kicks in. She doesn't like to take orders from anybody, she would rather be alone, doing as she pleases. So she owns Cutting Edge, a small investigative agency bankrolled by the Pack. She doesn't want anyone to get hurt because of her. She will do everything in her power to protect the people that she loves, no matter what the cost. She will even protect people that don't even deserve her help, people who have wronged her in the past. She has a very strong forgiving nature, and is caring to anyone that truely needs someone to help. I believe that she is very conflicted at times in the series.
